Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall welcomed their second daughter on Monday (18 June), the Royal Family have confirmed.

The newborn, whose name is yet to be confirmed, weighed 9lbs 3oz, making her the heaviest royal baby to date, overtaking the Duke and Duchess’ son Prince Louis who weighed 8lbs 7oz.

A statement issued by the Royal Family on Tuesday read: “Mrs Michael Tindall was safely delivered of a baby girl on 18th June, at Stroud Maternity Unit. Mr Tindall was present at the birth. The weight of the baby was 9lbs 3oz.

The spokesman also revealed that the baby’s name will be confirmed in due course. So, we’re super excited to find out what they’ve chosen!

The little one is Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s second child. It’s also The Princess Royal’s fourth grandchild and the seventh great-grandchild for The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh.

The pair are already parents to three-year-old Mia Grace Tindall, who was born in January 2014.

This happy news is much welcomed, after the difficult time that the couple had in 2016. The couple announced that they were expecting their second child at this time, but Zara Phillips unfortunately suffering a miscarriage.

We are absolutely delighted for the happy couple and congratulate them. We also wait (impatiently) for the name to be revealed!

The royal couple met in 2003 and announced their engagement in 2010, before getting married in 2011.
