What do you get the women who have everything? Here’s what four busy, fabulous mums want this Christmas…
THE BEAUTY ENTREPRENEUR
Having spent 17 years working in the beauty industry, New York-born Patricia Haimes (above) finally settled in London, with her husband Matthew, five years ago and founded Little BU – a collection of non-toxic, wash-off, water-based nail colours for little fashionistas. “My husband and I usually spend Christmas with friends who are as close as family in London. Now that we have two children, Grayson, two and a half and Weston Harlow, three months, who are already growing up too quickly, my biggest Christmas wish is to spend this one with our families in New York. It’s such a special time for them to create lasting memories with their grandparents and cousins. While we’re enjoying the season of all things that twinkle and shine in the city, a visit to our jeweller for something sparkly would be an added Christmas treat!”
THE BUSINESSWOMAN
Originally from a small village in Devon, Sophie Ajram moved to London to work as a model when she was 18. Now a property developer and director of GPS tracking device company GoTek7, she lives with her husband Abi and their three children Jahan (seven), Iman (five), and Sheherazade (two). “As a mother, all I really want for Christmas, firstly and foremost, is good health and happy memories for all the family. In addition to this, I would really like to start Christmas Day with a kiss from my husband, a cup of tea in bed, a lie in, a glass of Champers on getting up – and a Dior handbag would go down nicely too! We will be skiing in Méribel this year, so will be up very early watching the kids unwrap their presents, then hitting the slopes and coming home to a roast dinner in the afternoon, a film and the usual tin of Quality Street.
THE FITNESS GURU
Nathalie Schyllert is a trained ballerina, the Director of Operations at cult gym Bodyism, the founder of Bodywear – a new clothing range available on net-a-porter.com – and mother to three-year-old Oliver. “This Christmas I would really love to go back to Reethi Rah in the Maldives where we went when Oliver was only three months old and it was the quite simply best holiday I’ve ever had. It is such a special place to spend time with the people you love the most. However, I’m really excited to be travelling to Salt Lake City to see my auntie and cousins and to go skiing; the slopes and snow there are supposed to be just incredible. A year’s worth of complimentary breakfasts at Granger & Co, an Alaïa dress or a lifetime discount code for Net-a-Porter would also be nice. But I already have the best gift I could ever have wished for, my son Oliver.”
THE MODEL AND ACTRESS
Originally from Copenhagen, Tine Stapelfeldt has been living in London for 10 years working as a model and actress. She has two children: Monty, four years old and one-year-old Frida. “Besides the obvious gift of a good night’s sleep – and maybe a new outfit that doesn’t have snot, mud or spaghetti on it – the thing I’d actually like most of all is to know what to get my little monsters and boyfriend for Christmas. I would love to take their breath away with a present and make them think I am simply the best! Jewellery from Maria Black would also make me feel pretty special. We will be spending Christmas in Mexico: great food, palm trees and the beach perfect! One last wish: for sleepy children on a very long flight home.”
