Congratulations! Buckingham Palace confirms Princess Beatrice has given birth to a baby girl.
Buckingham Palace has announced the arrival of a new royal baby as Princess Beatrice welcomes a baby girl with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
Following Princess Beatrice and Edoardo’s pregnancy announcement in May 2021, Buckingham Palace today (Monday 20th September) announced the arrival of the couple’s first child together. Edoardo is already dad to five-year-old Christopher, affectionately known as ‘Wolfie’, whom he shares with former partner Dara Huang.
A statement released on behalf of the Beatrice and Edoardo reads: “The new baby’s grandparents and great-grandparents have all been informed and are delighted with the news. The family would like to thank all the staff at the hospital for their wonderful care.
“Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well, and the couple are looking forward to introducing their daughter to her big brother Christopher Woolf.”
Princess Beatrice, 33, also took to Twitter to share the happy news.
So delighted to share the news of the safe arrival of our daughter on Saturday 18th September 2021, at 23.42, at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London.
Thank you to the Midwife team and everyone at the hospital for their wonderful care.

The royal baby, who is the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild and 11th in line to the throne, was born at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London on Saturday 18th September at 11:42pm. The couple have not yet revealed their daughter’s name.
