Prince George is smiling adorably in the new photos released to mark his sixth birthday
It seems like only yesterday that all eyes were glued to the Lindo Wing Maternity Hospital, waiting for the appearance of Prince William, Kate Middleton, and new royal baby, Prince George.
So it came as quite a surprise this weekend to see just how much the young prince has grown in new photos taken by Kate Middleton, to celebrate George’s sixth birthday.
Two of the photographs, which were taken at the prince’s home at Kensington Palace, show George grinning cheekily in an England shirt, while the third was taken on a family holiday, with George wearing a green polo shirt and striped blue and white shorts.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also took to Instagram to wish their young nephew a happy birthday, posting a comment on a photo from @kensingtonroyal.
The England football team, clearly pleased to see Prince George wearing an English shirt, took to social media, too, to send their well-wishes to the young royal.

Having just completed Year 1 at the London-based Thomas’s Battersea School, Prince George will begin Year 2 this September – his final year at the lower school before he moves up to the middle school.
