Work out when your baby’s due date is with our pregnancy due date calculator
If you’re pregnant and trying to work out when your baby’s due date is, use our easy-to-use pregnancy due date calculator to estimate when your little one is likely to arrive.
How is your due date calculated?
Your due date is worked out by calculating the first day of your last monthly period and by how long your cycle usually lasts.
Pregnancy usually lasts from 37 to 42 weeks from the first day of your last period. But don’t worry if you don’t know when this is, as your midwife will offer you a dating scan in one of your first antenatal appointments to give you a more accurate date for the birth of your baby.

But bare in mind babies are unpredictable (anyone that’s waited for an overdue baby to arrive, whispering every morning “today’s the day, I can feel it” will know this) and hardly ever arrive on their exact due date.
How accurate are due dates?
Most women give birth somewhere around two weeks before and two weeks after their due date, so once you know roughly when your baby will arrive, make sure you’ve got your hospital bag at the ready!
