Getting a baby fed is often the first piece of the puzzle we call parenting, and once baby is fed, everything else tends to follow. It’s a nugget of wisdom we’ve learnt over the years from speaking with our community of mums, dads and grandparents. Here to lend a problem-solving hand is a group of Piccolo Family Friends. A collective of parents who have each been there and found their own way to feed. There are mums who loved breastfeeding, grandmas that didn’t. Mums that bottle fed from day dot and dads with a secret recipe for weaning (or, at least, those who claim to be the one that got their kid to eat greens).
That first jigsaw piece can be viewed from a few different angles. What’s most important is figuring out what works for you. Once you do, the puzzle looks a bit less, er, puzzling.
The bottom line is that it’s up to you and nobody else how you feed your baby. There’s a spectrum of choice out there, but what holds us together is that we all want the best for our own.

Why I decided to launch Piccolo’s organic baby milk
Cat Gazzoli, founder of Piccolo Foods, explains her journey to launching Piccolo’s organic baby milk.
When I had Juliet 6 years ago, I was very lucky. Surrounded by family in Italy, I was able to breastfeed Juliet for the first 12 months – there were definitely ups and downs, but fortunately it fell into place, and I followed the route I’d hoped for.
Now I’m expecting again, I don’t know how things will work out – but I know the second time probably won’t be the same. I decided that if I formula-feed my second child, I want to use a product in which I have 100% confidence.
So, again, I set out on a journey to create a product with my core values at its heart.
