Orlando Bloom is the latest celebrity confirmed to read a bedtime story on CBeebies.

Following in the footsteps of Tom Hardy, Eddie Redmayne, and Ewan McGregor, the 41-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean star will do a heartwarming reading of We Are Together, on Friday 9 November 2018.

The book, written and illustrated by Britta Teckentrup, celebrates the importance of having special friends and family in your life.

Speaking about the announcement, Orlando Bloom said: “Through my travels as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, I’ve met children in countries all over the world, and witnessed firsthand how storytelling between adults and young children helps cement their bond.

“Children light up when being taken on imaginary adventures through storytelling, and it helps their creativity grow. It was great to be a part of CBeebies Bedtime Stories.”

It is the first of two stories the actor has recorded for CBeebies.
