Hollywood Actor and veritable hunk, Luke Evans, has been named as the latest celebrity to read the Cbeebies Bedtime Story on Valentine’s Day.
Following in the footsteps of some of the best-loved actors from around the world, Luke Evans will bring joy to children – and parents alike – this Valentine’s Day. Cbeebies have revealed he’s the latest star to read the now famed Cbeebies Bedtime Story.
The Welsh actor, who is best known for his roles in Beauty and the Beast, The Hobbit and The Girl on the Train, will read ‘I Love You Already’ by Jory John and illustrated by Benji Davies on Thursday 14th February.
According to Cbeebies, the story is about a Bear who loves nothing more than relaxing on his own but his best friend, Duck, has different ideas.
Speaking about landing the Bedtime Story job, Luke says: “Filming CBeebies Bedtime Stories was such a pleasure – what a fun experience!
“I’m so pleased to bring these books to life for families all across the UK, and of course all my family’s and friend’s kids, and my own awesome godchildren”
Luke Evans’ Bedtime Story predecessors include the likes of Orlando Bloom, Ewan McGregor and Eddie Redmayne. The much-loved Valentine’s Day slot has previously been read by Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer, and mega heartthrob Tom Hardy in 2017.
While Luke has some pretty big shoes to fill, we have a sneaky suspicion a few mums will be particularly exited for story time this Valentine’s Day. We can’t promise we’ll actually be paying much attention, though…
Luke Evan’s Bedtime Story will air on Thursday 14th February at 6:50pm.
