Philanthropist Katie Piper has revealed she’s expecting her second baby with husband, Richard Sutton

Katie revealed her pregnancy by posing for HELLO! Magazine, where she is pictured cradling her small baby bump. Posting a shot from the shoot on Instagram, she wrote; “I’m so excited to tell you all next Father’s Day my husband will be celebrating with two children!! Thank you @hellomaguk the beautiful photos will treasure forever!” Shortly before, she paid tribute to her husband in another post. Pictured cradling his newborn daughter, Katie wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the man who is an incredible father to my daughter- a true role model of how wonderful a man can be #fatherdays.”

She has often spoken about her wish for another child, but wasn’t certain she’d be able to conceive naturally again. Speaking to The Mirror in 2015, Katie said; “I got pregnant with Belle really easily, but now I’ve got a problem with my oesophagus. There aren’t enough vitamins to help me make a baby. That is why I have become so skinny. I think adopting is the best option. There are a lot of kids with burns and parents who have neglected them, and I would like to adopt, to give back a little.”

Katie, who suffered an acid attack at the hands of her ex-boyfriend in 2008, has undergone over 300 surgical procedures to treat her burns and facial disfigurement. She set up the Katie Piper Foundation in 2009 to help burns victims and those suffering disfiguring injuries.

Speaking to MailOnline in May of this year, she said; “I’m totally open to it [more children], if we’re lucky enough for it to happen. I think it’s a bit of a stopgap at the moment to give her a companion. We know what it’s like to grow up with siblings, we would like that as well for her eventually. I know one was a blessing though, if I only ever had one I would still be happy.”

We spoke to Katie at the end of last year about pregnancy, pampering, and her collection with My Babiie.
