Boy or girl? Either way, it’s cause for celebration! Here’s how to make your gender-reveal party one to remember
Over the last few years, gender-reveal parties have become a modern way to cherish the surprise and share the sex of your baby with loved ones in one wonderful, memorable afternoon. Whether you choose to find out the gender of your baby beforehand and surprise your guests, or hand the results over to someone else so it’s a surprise for you, there are many ways you can make the big announcement.
- Gather up a stash of balloons filled with pink or blue confetti and pop away! You could do a similar thing with party poppers, too. The confetti looks great in photographs.
- Give your results to a cake maker and ask them to create a design made with pink or blue sponge covered with vanilla or chocolate icing. When it’s time for cake, gather everyone around the table and make that first slice with a flourish!
- A piñata that explodes with pink or blue coloured sweets or confetti is a fun way to get everyone involved, and younger guests will love it. Serve up with a colourful, non-alcoholic punch for a full-on family fiesta.
- Unwrap a package in front of your guests to reveal a boy or girl outfit. If you want to be surprised on the day, you could pick out one of each outfit in store and ask the shop assistant to wrap the correct one for you.
