ad came home last Saturday with a huge package under his arm and a big grin on his face.
“I thought we might have a holiday this weekend, in our very own garden!” he beamed.
Billie and I didn’t know what he was on about, until he told us to help him open the ‘mystery bag,’
“A tent!” Billie and I whooped. “How cool is that!”
We helped dad put up the tent and when it got dark, we begged mum to let us sleep outside.
I was laying out my sleeping bag inside the tent, when I got a tiny tap on the shoulder from Minty, my fairy friend from Romolonia. She whispered in my ear.
“Oh Flossie, have you been very naughty? Why is your mum making you sleep outside in the cold, on the ground?”
I explained to her, that because we’d been so good, dad had bought us a tent and that it was called ‘camping.’ I asked her if she wanted to join in our campfire songs and try a fruity flapjack and one of my special home made rocky road squares.
She had the best time and has asked me to organise a camping trip for the fairies. Here are the recipes I’m planning to take to Romolonia.
I hope you have fun this summer camping.
Happy baking!
