Untitled-1Clair de Lune celebrate its 73rd Birthday this year of manufacturing here in the UK…

We look at why parents turn to them for the best quality they can buy when choosing products for their newborn baby and children!

Harry Clarence Rodgers, grandfather of current MD John Rodgers originally formed the company back in 1943 as a source of employment for his son Dawson who was returning from active duty during the Second World War.

The company was established as Dawson Rodgers & Company Ltd and began their manufacturing days making household textiles such as cushion covers, blankets and curtains. Dawson’s son John, now the current MD joined the business in 1964 as the 3rd generation and has continued the family tradition of producing quality products to the highest standards of workmanship.

ADFIn 1986 having produced ‘own brand’ to so many of its customers, John Rodgers decided that the launch of its own corporate brand was long overdue and so ‘Clair de Lune’ was born. The company continues to manufacture a number of products mostly aligned to the nursery trade, at their south Manchester factory where they employ a highly skilled workforce of around 45 personel including John’s son Guy, the 4th generation.

With a team of talented, dedicated British designers, Clair de lune produce beautiful bedding collections, sheets and blankets, gift ideas and a range of pushchair and car seat accessories designed for the modern parents of today.

Untitled-2John, his wife Polly and son Guy along with a strong dedicated work force are well set to keep this family business moving forward, adapting to the ever changing market demands.

The brand and company have stood the test of time and celebrate their 73rd year of manufacturing within the UK this year.
