OK, now it’s officially Christmas. The Celebrities set to read the Christmas CBeebies Bedtime Stories have been revealed.
Let’s face it, baby and kids’ TV is a strange, strange world. From talking trains to terrifying puppets, the TV shows that put a smile on our little one’s faces are often downright bizarre. But there’s one shining beacon of light in the psychedelic blur of Boobahs, Teletubbies and Tweenies: CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
The big bosses over at CBeebies HQ know its important to save a little something for us grownups, and thanks to the fab celeb lineup of story readers, Bedtime Stories does just that. With the likes of Tom Hardy, Orlando Bloom and Luke Evans having previously appeared on the show, we’re not afraid to admit we sometimes carry on watching even after the baby drops off to sleep.

This Christmas, CBeebies Bedtime Stories has pulled out all the stops with the Celebrities who’ll be reading to your little ones over the festive period.
Kicking off the countdown to Christmas, Robbie Williams will be making his second appearance on CBeebies Bedtime Stories as he reads The Twelve Dogs of Christmas by author Alison Ritchie and illustrator Marisa Morea on Friday 20 December.

Next up is Line of Duty’s Vicky McClure who’ll be reading Augustus and His Smile by Catherine Rayner on Sunday 22 December.
Monday 23 December sees the return of jazz and soul star Gregory Porter. As part of BBC Teach’s Bring The Noise campaign, he sings festive favourite Walking In A Winter Wonderland, with illustrations by Tim Hopgood.
Ahead of the eagerly-anticipated Gavin & Stacey Christmas Special, Joanna Page (Stacey) will be making her CBeebies debut on Christmas Say. She reads ‘Snow’ by Sam Usher, a wintery story about a little boy who wants to play in the snow but has to wait for his grandfather.
Speaking about the experience, Joanna revealed:”This has been the best day ever! I am going to get major mum points and this will make this the best Christmas Day yet for my kids!”

For an extra Christmas treat, there’s also the opportunity to watch some of the favourite CBeebies Christmas Bedtime Stories of Christmases past. Justin Fletcher reads The Night Before Christmas on Christmas Eve. On Boxing Day, Idina Menzel reads Robin’s Winter Song.
Finally, On New Year’s Eve, you can be reunited with Tom Hardy as the channel revisis his reading of You Must Bring A Hat. We’ve already set up series record.
CBeebies Bedtime Story is on daily at 6.50pm.
P.S. Now you can say you’ve shared the bedtime shift with Robbie Williams and Tom Hardy.
