Make this magical time of year extra special for your family with these fun festive ideas

From cute outfits to personalised gifts, nothing quite tops the list like baby’s first Christmas. But remember, this time of year is all about creating memories, so you don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive presents. Focus on keepsakes and fun crafts that you can enjoy together to ensure your Christmas is one to remember.

Don’t miss your chance to get creative with baby’s first stocking. You might choose to make your own, or buy one and embroider it with your little one’s name. This – and a personalised tree decoration – will be something you can hold on to for years to come.

Babies love lights! So be sure to go all-out with your festive décor this year and fill your home with lots of twinkling candles (LED ones are more baby-friendly),  fairylights and lit-up decorations.

Why not design and make your own Christmas cards this year using either a photo of your baby or a painted foot or handprint? The hard part will likely be choosing which photo to use!

Finally, this is the perfect time to start new family traditions – just like your parents did when you were children. From making Christmas Eve boxes to writing letters to Santa, or even making your own tree decorations, pick something you can all get stuck into together.
