Ira & Isla’s collections are inspired by the charm of vintage garments from 1930s, 40s and 50s. Each piece is made using classic techniques and beautiful fabrics that will be a classic addition to any child’s wardrobe.
Collections are carefully, slowly, and sustainably made by hand in Britain, and therefore in very limited numbers and some, one-offs. They pride themselves on standing apart in an industry dominated by mass production and outsourcing.
Ira & Isla designs are proudly made in Britain and work with a fantastic team of skilled artisans in Britain across all aspects of the business who share the vision for quality and limited production.

Ira & Isla’s dresses are sewn using fine sewing techniques, delicate smocking, French binding on internal seams and hem edges, lace trimmings and beautiful details.
There first collection is a trio of flowing dresses with an enchanting vintage feel – soft velvet and irresistible Peter Pan collars trimmed with British lace.
Victoria Dress
Inspired by the Victorian clothing, their beloved Victoria Dress is heritage style.
With its ruffled trims, the Victoria Dress evokes a Victoriana-inspired mood.
Its romantic silhouette is distinguished by a ruffled stand collar, blouson sleeves gathered at shoulders and sleeve bands. Front and back skirts gathered to a deep V-neck yoke trimmed with delicate ruffles, made from Liberty Cotton poplin.
Lace Trimmed Velvet Gown
This classic lace trimmed velvet gown dress features an elegant peter pan collar trimmed with British lace that makes it perfect for special occasions as well as everyday wear.
Its elegance is enhanced by the pleat and tuck details on the chest. Wear it with a pair of gold Mary Jane shoes and a pretty bow hairband.
Smocked Dress
This Ira & Isla timeless Embroidered Tartan Dress for girls is enhanced by its gorgeous, coloured checks embroidered on the front bodice using a combination of blue, green and gold yarns.
This classic green tartan dress is made from a beautiful soft brushed cotton. It has a Peter Pan collar trimmed with delicate ruffles, blouson sleeves gathered at shoulders and sleeve bands.

About Ira & Isla
Jasleen founded Ira & Isla Baby and Kids after realizing that high quality, classic traditional dresses were impossible to find. She says: “I bought many dresses from luxury designers however the quality was not as expected and being a designer myself I always looked at the seam finishes and quality.
“I found it difficult to find such beautifully made fashions in stores and when I did find something it was prohibitively expensive to buy and not made to the high quality I expected.”
A designer herself and interning at Mathew Williamson during her degree at London College of Fashion, she started designing a collection after the birth of Ira & Isla and cutting patterns and making samples and toiles.
“I used the girls to model samples and toiles, drape fabric and to work out what shapes fit well and what would adapt best to children’s bodies.
“Growing up, my mum would sew all of our clothes and I remember her creating matching ‘mummy and me’ dresses for special occasions when I was a little girl, I wish we’d kept them!”
