Editor-at-large, Kate Freud, rounds up the latest baby news, new parent must-haves and the baby brands you need to know about this month.

Anyone who’s looked after a small baby will be aware of their extraordinary knack for losing just one sock! So when I came across the brilliant brand Pop My Way, I thought its concept was genius – I knew I had to include it in this month’s Baby News.

The bodysuits, tops and trousers all come with detachable socks and collars that fix in place with poppers. Everything’s made from the softest cotton too, so baby will love the suits as much as you do.

Father’s Day Find

I hope my husband Jack isn’t reading this, but I’ve decided to get him something extra-special for Father’s Day this year: these beautiful solid-silver cufflinks from Philippa Herbert. I’m going to get them engraved with the children’s fingerprints and initials, so he has something precious to treasure forever.

In Full Bloom

I can’t resist a pair of bloomers, and these ones, with a matching dress from John Lewis’ Heirloom collection, are particularly sweet. The retro details will make this a favourite to pass down the generations. And I like that on hot summer days, tots can wear the bloomers with not a lot else. Created using cotton from the Better Cotton Initiative – a not-for-profit organisation helping farmers work sustainably and in good conditions – you know you’re doing your bit too.

Rub it in

Pregnancy can come with all kinds of interesting side effects – mine varied from baby to baby – but the one thing I did manage to avoid was stretch marks. And now, you have a helping hand too, with Mustela’s new Stretch Marks Serum, a concentrated formula jam-packed with active ingredients, such as passion fruit, which improves elasticity, prevents stretch marks and leaves skin feeling soft and supple.
