Baby London Connects

Earlier this week, The Chelsea Magazine Company was delighted to host its first networking event, Connect, for mothers in business.

We invited 100 inspirational women to join us at the gorgeous Blue Almonds boutique on Walton Street, for a fun-filled evening of networking and motivating speeches, not to mention delicious cocktails and canapés sponsored by Top Hat catering and Eclipse.

We were joined by a fantastic line-up of speakers including; the fabulous Annabel Karmel, the UK’s number one children’s cookery guru and author of new business book Mumpreneur. Annabel shared her personal story, touching on how she overcame the tragic death of her first baby to build a multi-million pound business empire. Full of inspirational advice and tips on how to network, Annabel completely captivated the room.

Emma Davison, founder of British fashion business Olivier Baby & Kids; Jenny Scott, author of How to be a Hip Mama Without Losing Your Cool and founder of communications agency Mothers Meetings; Dominnique Karetsos, Mumpreneur and radio personality; Shona McLeod, creator of designer fashion e-commerce site shonamac.com and Charlotte Pearl, co-founder of the changing bag brand Pink Lining.

Our guests were given delightfully packed goody bags on their way out, including, beauty products from Argan+ Mum To Be Stretch Mark Body Butter and Maternelle Mum To Be Relaxing Bath Soak, Kiehl’s, children’s bubble bath and shampoo from Childs Farm, Little Butterfly products, gorgeous hats from Kissy Kissy and Platypus Australia and treats from Imagethirst Family Photography, Wick & Tallow, The Little Blue Owl, Iglo & Indi and the must-have SkyBaby product from Not Rocket Science Ltd. Not forgetting our very own Baby London and Little London magazines!

We were also thrilled to take the opportunity to officially announce the launch of the Little London Awards, which will celebrate excellence across the baby and children’s industry, with categories covering everything from baby and pregnancy products to fashion, travel, food and toys. The Awards will be voted for by our readers, and we’ll be sending out more details shortly.

We were delighted with how successful the evening was… and simply can’t wait for our next Connect event!
