Over the next few issues Baby London magazine will be covering the progress of Angsana Hotel and Resort’s most exciting and luxurious new resort, that launched in Thailand December 2011. Put your hands together for a brand new hotel experience; Angsana Laguna Phuket opened 1 December 2011.
ngsana Laguna Phuket is the luxury choice destination for the modern family. It has unparalleled beachfront access to the warm Andaman Sea. Located just 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport and Phuket town itself.
This is a distinctly stylish resort, designed with aspects of traditional Thai architecture, there are waterways and canals throughout the grounds. Baby elephants, Lucky and Joey, visit the resort twice a day, once in the morning and then again in the afternoon, and as you can imagine the children (and adults!) love meeting and playing with them.
Being a new property, there are also contemporary touches using natural materials, modern furnishings and fun, modern colours throughout. Discerning families will be spoilt for choice with 409 rooms, lofts and suites, seven dining and drinking areas, the award-winning Angsana Spa where Asian-inspired therapies pamper Mums and Dads from head to toe, a huge lagoon style swimming pool that spans the entire resort, a stylish beach club for chilling out during the day or evening, an 18-hole championship golf course just a short stroll from the Resort, a two-storey Treehouse Kid’s Club, with activities for all ages of children and a kid’s spa and cooking sessions, and one of the best beaches in Phuket.
A comprehensive selection of rooms, lofts, suites and private residences offer guests many options, ranging from stylishly appointed Laguna Rooms with views of the gardens, lagoon and swimming pool or sea views. Two Bedroom suites as well as a number of two bedroom lofts and private residences are available for larger families.
Dining facilities include Market Place, which serves popular Asian-fusion cuisine, international favourites and local delights. The Baan Talay restaurant features fresh seafood. Bodega is the Mediterranean restaurant and there are also a choice of bars, including the Beach Club and the Loy Krathong Bar – ideal for refreshing cocktails, snacks and live entertainment in the evenings. Being in the integrated resort complex of Laguna Phuket means guests have access to over 30 restaurants, a shopping village and an elephant sanctuary. The beach is safe, with water generally shallow at the entrance to the Sea. The swimming pool also has a separate shallow toddlers area. Other child-friendly offerings include child and baby seats being provided free-of-charge in the hotel cars and airport transfers. In the rooms the mini-bars accommodate milk bottles and childrens’ food. The Treehouse Kid’s Club is open from 9am-9pm every day, and is complimentary to resort guests.
